Universal Buzz is: A network of non-commercial radio stations and online communities who believe in and choose to support the experience of live music and independent culture.

Our radio program, broadcast exclusively on college and community stations, is a 30-60 minute weekly show featuring digitally recorded live concerts and/or provocative conversations with artists outside of commercially-manufactured "alternative culture."

U-Buzz stations decide what shows they want to air and where best to place us in their individual programming schedules. Universal Buzz is fully self-funded through our own underwriters and sponsors. It is produced at no cost to the stations and bands involved. Our radio show is adored by 3.2 million listeners per week.

Universal Buzz is not: A radio station. We are not a label nor a dot com company. We are not your father's beat-up pickup truck and we are not a front for some label or syndication group trying to infiltrate college radio. Nobody forces bands on Universal Buzz and we don't get behind anything that we don't believe in. However, Universal Buzz is always open to suggestions from our audience and stations about artists we might want to approach.

Universal Buzz is an independent endeavor to promote alternative rock/independent/avant garde music, because despite the hype, we believe in our hearts that it is still the most important music being made today.
